What is IgboTrade?

IgboTrade is making buying and selling in different locations easier and seamless. We are a one-stop Android platform that allows small business or individuals to simultaneously buy and sell goods, merchandise within Nigeria and abroad.

Who can use the IgboTrade Mobile App?

Any business or person can use the IgboTrade Mobile App to buy and sell goods, merchandise

How do I Sell?

Posting an advert on IgboTrade is quick and easy! Simply click Sell button and follow the instructions.

If you are not already logged in, you will need to log in as the first step of posting your advert.

Your ad will go live once it has been reviewed (this usually takes less than 1 hour during office hours).

Please note, all first time posters and offenders are verified before ads are approved.

Why does IgboTrade need to verify my identity?

IgboTrade is committed to creating a safe and trusted community of buyers and sellers. To deter fraudulent behaviour, we identify every seller who posts adverts in our most popular categories, like cars, mobile phones and property. When you post an advert for the first time, we will contact you within 72 hours to verify your identity.

How do I delete my advert?

To delete an advert, please go to your adverts page and click on the "Delete advert" option.

How do I edit my advert?

To edit an advert, please go to your adverts page and click on the "Edit advert" option.

How do I set a new password on IgboTrade?.

To set a new IgboTrade password, please log in to your account, go to the "Settings" page and enter a new password.

I have Forgotten my Login Password, Please Help?

Go to the log-in page and click on the "Forgot your password?" link

How long do adverts stay on IgboTrade?

Adverts appear for 90 days, unless you delete them earlier.

I posted an advert but can no longer find it. What is wrong?

This means that your advert has failed our review and verification process.

Why has my advert been rejected?

All of the adverts are manually reviewed - if your advert violates our posting rules it will be rejected. You can read what changes you have to make before the advert can be approved in the email notifying you of advert rejection.

I am being contacted about an advert I did not post. Can you help me?

Please contact us and we will help you right away.

I have not received any responses to my advert. What is wrong?

If you are not receiving responses to our adverts, we recommend looking at our tips on how to sell fast.

How does IgboTrade make money?

IgboTrade is an online E-commerce and advertising platform which offers paid features and services that help people promote their goods and merchandise through advertising, bring a wide customer base to advertiser, facilitate the sales of advertised items, and give businesses a bigger online presence.

What are the rules for posting on IgboTrade?

We do not allow adverts that contain:

  • an item or service that is illegal in Nigeria,
  • an invalid phone number or email address,
  • an unrealistic offer,
  • offensive language,
  • offensive pictures,
  • text in the title or description that is not related to the advertised item or service,
  • pictures that do not match or clearly show the advertised item or service,
  • text in the first picture (except logos and product codes),
  • a non-specific item or service, e.g. a description of a company in general terms,
  • a URL link that is not relevant to the advertised item or service,
  • exact same content as another advert, re-published within 7 days,
  • multiple items in the same advert.
In addition, once the advert is posted, the product or service in the advert cannot be changed, only removed.

How do I sign up for a user account on IgboTrade?

Signing up for an account on IgboTrade is quick, easy and completely free! To sign up on IgboTrade, please go to the Sign up page and follow the instructions. Once you have signed up, a link will be sent to your email with instructions on how to verify your email address.

How do I log in and log out of my account?

To log in to your account, simply go to the Log in page and enter your email and password. If you have created an account via Facebook, click on "Continue with Facebook" and follow the instructions.

To log out of your account, simply click the "Log out" option.

How do I change my account details?

To change the details on your account, log in to your account and go to your account's "Settings" page.

I cannot log in to my account, Please Help?

If you are having trouble logging in to your account, please check that you have:

  • Signed up for an account.
  • Entered the correct email address and password on the log in page.
  • If you are still having trouble accessing your account, please contact us.
